Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started

1. How can I access my web control panel?
On the MicroRack system and for MicroRack based hosting accounts you can access your web control panel using a link like
http://www.yourdomain.com:8001/bin/menu
On the HERA VS system and for HERA VS based hosting accounts the web control panel is located at
http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-f/admin/bin/menu
You have to replace "www.yourdomain.com" with your own domainname or IP number.

2. Where do I upload my Web site contents?
The htdocs-directory is the document root for your webpages. Only files and directories contained within this directory are accessible by the public through a Web browser. Therefore, if you create your own Web pages or have someone else create them for you, they need to be placed in this directory. When your server is first set up, there should be a single file in this directory called index.html. By default, your server will look for files called "index.html", "index.htm" or "index.shtml" if no file name is specified in the URL.

On the HERA VS and MicroRack systems users and domains are created in the /usr/home directory.
E.g. /usr/home/yourdomain.com.
Your default web page information can be found in the file:
/usr/home/yourdomain.com/htdocs/index.html
